erica & bryan - san diego, ca
a few more from saturday’s wedding…

yesterday i shot erica & bryan’s sweet wedding at the beautiful maderas golf club. my favorite moment of the day had to be the best man’s toast, he retold a bet that he’d made with bryan just after bryan met erica. the $50 bet was that within 5 years they’d be married. it was a win-win for bryan; he’d either be up $50, or a wife. i love this shot of erica giggling while bryan pays off his bet!

very, very exciting news! the time has finally come for me to expand from a home studio to a working studio. today i moved into an amazing space in downtown la jolla, just a few blocks from the beach. i feel incredibly fortunate to share this beautiful space with two amazing wedding coordinators, catherine bachelier smith and danielle davis. not only do these women know the best of san diego’s vendors, but they also specialize in international wedding planning! danielle particularly loves weddings in costa rica, so if you’re thinking about getting married there you must get in touch with her.
please update your address books with our new mailing information. as much as we love visitors, please note that the studio is open by appointment only.

yes, at every wedding i hear something along those lines.
sometimes it’s, ‘that’s a big camera for a little girl.’
or my favorite, ‘that camera takes nice pictures.’
it is not about the camera. it’s the artist that makes those nice pictures
would you tell a surgeon that his scalpel is really skillful? would you tell a mechanic that it was his tools that so beautifully fixed your car? ![]()
i just saw this post on the amber show blog and felt like she got right to the heart of this matter, i’m sharing it here because i know that some of my readers (photos and clients alike) will relate!
a few more from yesterday’s shoot. it is really rare that i shoot a group of all women, in this case mothers, sisters, daughters and friends.

this morning i had a shoot at the cove in la jolla with one of my favorite families. i especially love shooting grown-up sisters playing together…more photos next week!

i was just pulling some images from jenn & mike’s engagement session (for a guest sign in book) for their upcoming wedding in lake tahoe! i love this shot of jenn, mike, wesley and bear - dogs can be difficult to photograph but these guys were perfect models and beautifully set up the composition for this shot.
