i spent the last two weeks in the bay area, shooting a bunch and spending some much needed time with friends. since i had a portrait session friday afternoon in orange county, i left san francisco early on thursday morning so i could take two days making my way back down the coastline. (sorry for not returning and phone calls or emails, i had zero cell phone service!) here are a few shots taken along the majestic big sur.

on saturday i shot jojo and mike’s wedding at the beautiful murrieta’s well winery. even though the morning was overcast and drizzly, the rain held off and the ceremony went on outside as planned. there are so many more photos that i want to share from the day but for now here are just a few of my favorites - i really wanted to share these before mike and jojo left for three weeks in spain and morocco yesterday, unfortunately i didn’t realize that i mistakenly made the post private and no one was able to see the photos
sorry about that!

these photos were taken two weeks ago on the hottest day i’ve ever experienced in san francisco. on my drive into the city i stopped at a local strawberry farm where for $5 i got a huge bag of the yummiest berries. these strawberry mojitos were very necessary, even after the sun went down that day it was still 85+!
this is the boo. this photo was made during a rare moment on the deck last week. for unknown reasons, she has spent many days in the last few weeks getting herself stranded on the roof. fortunately it looks like she’s broken herself of the habit.
today i went up to sonoma county with one of my best girlfriends to visit with her parents and enjoy the beautiful day.

yesterday i went out to danville to do a one-on-one workshop with jenn who’s wedding i’m shooting in september in lake tahoe! we spent the morning talking about all things photo and then set out around danville to take some photos and implement everything. jenn took some photography classes in high school and college and i have a feeling she may have a new career on her hands.
we focused mostly on exposure and composition, and since jenn’s finance mike loooves bikes we found some inspiration at the local bike shop. here are a few of my shots from the day - these are all straight out of camera except for a black and white conversion and contrast boost.

this was such a fantastic shoot. it happened by total chance that when i got to camp lotus on saturday i set up my tent right next to brenda and chris’, so early sunday we all got up and enjoyed the magical morning light and the beauty of camp lotus.
