i just came discovered warp & weft, a gallery showcasing the most beautiful collection of antique rugs. i love the variety of colors, patterns and scale! some are wide as 20 feet. i also love that they’ve already warmed other floors, some date back to the 1600’s.

on friday i photographed the shacks, my first project heirloom family. even though their three girls have moved away from san diego, they all came home for thanksgiving with their husbands (and of course jen brought their two cutie boys too!). here are a handful of photos from the shoot.

i know that thanksgiving was a few days ago but it took me until now to put my thoughts to paper, or keyboard as the case may be. when i was little thanksgiving was my favorite holiday, we all would go to my uncle’s house in rural pennsylvania where the cousins would play ping pong and pinball in the basement until dinner was ready. i love being in a house full of family and yummy food and especially appreciate a whole day set aside for this very purpose. since i neglected to take a photo of the delicious almost from scratch pumpkin pie that i made, please enjoy this photo i took in NYC last month. on this thanksgiving i am particularly grateful for all of the travels i am fortunate enough to go on, a house in san diego to come home to, my health, my amazing job and of course my family, friends and wonderful clients.
yesterday i shot my last (and longest!) wedding of 2007; melina and jeremy celebrated their union with a traditional coptic orthodox wedding. here are a handful of my favorite shots from the day.

i just had these business cards made and am SO happy about them. they are letterpress, which means that a custom plate is created to embosses (get ready…) recycled cereal boxes. each card is totally unique. they are fun and funky and environmentally friendly

this weekend i flew out to scottsdale, arizona to shoot the second birthday of my favorite little twins. i’ve been photographing these cuties since they were just a few weeks old and i’ve had so much fun watching them grow and getting to know their lovely family
