this post is long overdue, i’ve been meaning to share these images for the last few weeks! i always seem to be out of the country for ‘defining moments in american history’. on january 20th i was in amsterdam, at a hole in the wall sports bar on the leidseplein. *note the 10 jager shots for 10 euros!* the pride, excitement and relief i felt at the moment these photos were made will forever stay with me.
i just wanted to give everyone an update on this photo project, i’ve been getting a lot of emails asking how it’s going and i apologize that i haven’t gotten back to each one, keeping up with my inbox is a full time job in itself.
i thought that it was going to be easy to meet women that were open to have their lives photographed, but it’s turned out to be so much more difficult than expected. i haven’t been shooting with a camera much but i have been mentally photographing what i’ve been seeing and getting clearer on my vision. the red lights of amsterdam are unlike anything else i’ve seen, it’s been an interesting experience so far…
very, very exciting news! the time has finally come for me to expand from a home studio to a working studio. today i moved into an amazing space in downtown la jolla, just a few blocks from the beach. i feel incredibly fortunate to share this beautiful space with two amazing wedding coordinators, catherine bachelier smith and danielle davis. not only do these women know the best of san diego’s vendors, but they also specialize in international wedding planning! danielle particularly loves weddings in costa rica, so if you’re thinking about getting married there you must get in touch with her.

i am very excited to announce our new online proofing system, i hope that it makes viewing, sharing and ordering easier! there are lots of cool features (including baby and bridal registry)

i am applying for a very cool photography grant and need to submit 20-25 of my absolute best photos. needless to say that i am emotionally attached to certain images, so i’m having a hard time selecting the best of the best. if you are familiar with my work (or not) please send me an email with what you think are my absolute best photographs. the grant is to fund an editorial photography project that will take 9 months to complete; the subject matter and nature of the project is secret until i get funded 
but it will draw on my experiences in world travel and personal interaction with an aim to inspire self-realizations and a shift in consciousness.
